The
Third Annual Huron Rowing Association Spring Carnival and Silent Auction will be
held on Friday, March 26, 2010, from 6 to 9 PM at the Huron High School
Cafeteria. Proceeds will support the purchase of a new shell.

The
first day of Spring Crew practice is Monday, March 8, 2010. For the first week
(or two), the team will be meeting at Huron High School (in the "Dungeon"). This
season, practice will begin 15 minutes earlier, at 5:15 PM and end at 7:30 PM.
This new start time will continue when we move to the Boathouse.
Practice will move to the boathouse when the ice on the river and mud in the
parking lot allow. While at the school, the focus of practice will be
conditioning.
All returning rowers, along with athletes coming from another sports, must go to
the Huron Athletic Office and register for the Spring Crew season. Once
registered, your name will be entered on the official Spring Crew roster and you
will be able to practice with the team. If you are not on the Spring Crew
roster, you will not be allowed to practice.
Students wanting to join the team, and who have not been on any sports team this
school year, need to fill out a Physical Exam form (signed by your doctor) and
pay the $30 insurance fee to the athletic office BEFORE
you can practice with the team.
We will be arranging to conduct a swim test at the school during the first week
of practice. More information regarding swim tests will follow. |
